Many thanks for useful information.You can. But you won't get the full speed, as 2014 machines are PCIe x2 where 2015 machines are PCIe x4. That's mainly what's responsible for the speed difference.

- Thanks. Did not know that.Actually it seems that the PCIe lane width is in the ssd stick not in the laptop motherboard, this article below proofs that if you put 4x lane ssd to 2014 macbook pro it will use all of the 4 lanes.
