Can i use '15 13" MBA SSD in '14 13" rMBP?

As i own both mac, the 13" 2015 MBA and 13" 2014 MBP.
I found that the ssd in mba are faster by a large margin (read ~1GBps vs 400 MBps)

But as i use the MBP more than MBA, so can i just pull out the mba ssd and install in mbp?
 
You can. But you won't get the full speed, as 2014 machines are PCIe x2 where 2015 machines are PCIe x4. That's mainly what's responsible for the speed difference.

- That I am unsure of. Probably not much more than you already have.

The size of the drives is also a factor. The larger drive will be faster, so if the Air drive is 512 GB while the Pro is 128 GB, you may see increased speeds.

- Thanks. Did not know that.

The link speed is still only at 5.0 GT/s as opposed to 8.0 GT/s on the 2015s, though. But it seems there indeed is something to be gained.
