can i use 24" iMac display with video output from macbook

i have been looking for a way to use my imac as a display at home while i am working on my macbookpro. 24" is a little easier than 15'' on the eyes. I have seen some TV or video game input solutions via usb or firewire. But i have never seen a description for this particular use. Does anyone have any ideas?
