My search has given me conflicting answers, but I'm concluding that I can I use a 29W Power Adapter to charge my Air Pods (it won't fry it), but it also won't fast charge it either. Is this correct?

I don't know the power coming out of a MacBook Pro USB port, but I can safely charge Air Pods that way?

Yeah should be fine. The USB-C PD power bricks have a chip inside that detects what is connected to it and outputs accordingly.

I use my iPad charger to charge my AirPods as well, and I have had no issues doing so over the last year. You should not have any issue using the 29W power adapter.
