Can I use a AW 10 with only my iphone X?

I am interested in buying the new AW 10 but I only have iphone X, which doesn't take ios18. Am I out of luck unless I update to a new iphone?

Sadly, yes. It needs XS or newer and ios18. This is from Apple’s site:

You can consider trading in your existing iPhone X for the iPhone 16 or look at eBay for an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 15 to use with the Apple Watch series 10.
