Can I use a windows HD on my mac?

My friends iTunes library is on an external hard drive, he also uses a PC. Is it possible for me to hook the hard drive to my iMac and get his songs on my mac?

Ys. Macs can read mac and PC format.

You can for sure read it. However, you can't write if its formated NTFS. But it can be written too if its fat32
