Can I use iPad charger for my iPhone?

Hi,
I wanted to know if its safe to use iPad charger with an iPhone ?? Does it affect the iPhone battery in any way ??
 
Yes, the iPhone will only take the ampage it needs, I often charge an iPhone or Touch with my iPad charger.
