Can I use iPad charger to charge my iPhone?

I don't want to screw up the phone, but I just got a iPad and don't want 2 chargers and cords laying around. Would it charge the iPhone quicker since its bigger, or screw it up and overheat it somehow?

Yup, I always use my iPad charger with my iPhone.

Agree with everyone here. I have been charging my iPhone with the iPad charger since the ipad1 was launched. No issues.
