Can I use iPod earphones on my iMac?

I know this is a silly, silly question but I just got my first desktop Mac and am so not wealthy enough to have it go phfft on me.

Er, didn't quite understand all your post but yes your iPod earbuds will work on your mac. Plug them into the port that looks like a speaker.

The iMac has a headphone jack on the back. Not to mention it has built-in speakers...
