Hi all, I just bought the new iPhone 12 128GB and I was wondering whether I can charge it with the following 65W charger I bought a few weeks ago for my mac.

Thanks

I don’t see why not, Apple has a 60W Anker adapter being sold on their website which lists its compatible with iPhones. I believe the iPhone will only pull what it needs.

Ahh oks thanks, then it should be OK.

I guess iphones only pull as much energy as they need.

So it's no difference in what watts you use since it supports I think 15w.?
For the iPhone 12 it looks like you need at least a 20W charger if you want fast charging. If you don’t care about fast charging then you can use less. But yes, based on this I would say that it’s safe to use a higher watt charger and the iPhone will only use what it needs.

Yes, it's safe - I tried charging my 12 Pro using these USB-C: 100W Anker, 96W Apple, 87W Apple, 61W Apple, and 29W Apple.
Stupid question. But does that mean they will charge faster or no? It'll be capped at 20w.
?
