I have a galaxy s4 and I recently switched from Verizon to straight talk using the byop thing, and everything went smoothly. My Verizon galaxy s4 is on straight talk and I get verizon 4g lte on it. My sister has an iPhone 5s on verizon that she wants to port over to straight talk.. The website says it's compatible but the customer service says it's not. If I'm correct the iPhones are GSM unlocked so it would use at&t network.

Has anyone done this and can confirm it works? Thanks!

You get to choose what version of Straight Talk you want. ATT, VZW, Sprint, T-Mobile are all there.
I don't think that's how it works, I've never seen someone bring a Verizon iPhone 5 to straight talk and get vzw service.

They check your ESN/IMEI # then go from there. I think I read here that it could be done over the phone.

I used a 4S on Straight Talk and I am currently using an iPhone 6 on Straight Talk.

I use straight talk and chose T-Mobile towers but there were options for all four carriers in the byod sim kit.
