Can I use reinstall discs for Leopard to upgrade my Tiger?

    So the title pretty much says it all but I was wondering if I could use reinstall discs for Leopard 10.5.2 to upgrade my Tiger 10.4.11.

    If you're asking if you can use the restore disks from one computer to upgrade another, the answer is no. You would need a retail copy to do that.

    No, they only work with the computer model they came with.

    Not sure what you mean by "reinstall". But yes, you need a retail copy (bought from the store) to upgrade. Restore discs from other computers don't work.

    Locked to a specific model of machine, only works with the machines they are shipped with.

    Since these Jokers aren't telling you which machine, likely it won't work unless you search down the hack.
