Can I use the converter cable that came with my MBP

    To connect this old 19'' samsung to my mac pro? Just feel like I need to ask.

    You mean the DVI to VGA adapter that used to come with MBPs? I guess so.. since the old MacBook Pros had a Dual Link DVI connection, just like the Mac Pro does now.

    FWIW . . . I used the DVI->VGA adapter from a MBP to connect my wife's MacPro1,1 (ATI 4870 GPU) to her TV/monitor without any issues.

    Ravich, do you mean MacBook Pro or Mac Pro, as the location of this thread and the actual post of yours is mentioning the Mac Pro, but the thread title is mentioning the MacBook Pro.

    MP - Mac Pro
    MBP - MacBook Pro

    As per previous posts.. the MBP used to come with adapters.. he's asking if those adapters are fine to use with his MP.
