Hello all,

I am trying to download/import/archive AVCHD videos from my Canon HD Camcorder (HG20). The camera has a 60GB hard drive as well as an SD car slot.

I would like to import and archive the videos to a specific folder, BUT when I check the folder for contents(after archiving) all I see is ONE 31.1 GB file.

Is Imovie downloading/importing Metadata with the videos?

How can I (Can I??) Import/archive all videos to a folder with Titled subfolders?

Please respond if you have any idea how to do this via iMovie.

Thank you

Yes, you can usually import AVCHD movies into iMovie. By default, iMovie stores that footage in Home Folder>Movies>iMovie Events>Your Event. If by metadata you mean the time and date that the video was shot, then it should do.
