It's my brothers iPhone and he hasn't got back to me yet about the Baseband. But I do know it's on 4.2.1 if that helps. It was a recent replacement from Apple so it'll be whatever the official 4.2.1 BB is.

The only baseband that can be unlocked with dev team tools is 1.59.

If your in the UK you can pay your operator to unlock it, cost me £15 on O2.

Edit if it's a out of contract phone it's free, go figure i bought the phone off them on pay and go then have to pay to unlock.... lesson learnt.
