i have an older power pc g4. tell me if this is possible- i would like to store all of my pics and movies from iphoto on an external hard drive instead of my system hard drive. this is in an effort to hopefully de-bug this computer. my browsers and quick time constantly crash. i'm suspicious that it is due to the fact that my 80 gig hard drive only has about 10 free gigs left on it, and i've tried everything at this point short of reformatting. so back to the million dollar question- can i keep all of my iphoto pics on an external drive? if so, how would i go about enabling iphoto to know where to grab the pics from?

Your iPhoto library should be in your home folder, in the Pictures folder.

To move it, just close iPhoto, grab the "iPhoto library", and drag it to an external drive.

Next time you open the iPhone app, hold down the OPTION key while you click it. The prompt should give you the option to open a library. Click that, then navigate to your external, double click on your iPhoto library, and that's about it.
