can they be bricked if jailbroken. How high are the risks of it getting bricked??

Jailbreaking carries virtually no chance of bricking. Worst comes to worst you put your iPod Touch in recovery mode and restore the firmware using iTunes.

Closest thing to brick is need to restore to 1.1.3 then downgrade,takes forever
