Can iTunes import via external optical drive?

Will iTunes treat a external drive like the superdrive in my Macbook? 🙂

Yes, it should, unless you have some crazy external optical drive.

I used an external DVD burner via USB and managed to rip some audio CDs onto my iBook via iTunes.

Yes, but you can't import 2 CD's at once.
