Hi folks!

A client asked me a great question and something I'm interested in for my own photos.

Is there a program like Lightroom (or similar) where, during a slideshow playback, the keywords and/or metadata we painstakingly input, can be viewed on screen?

The idear is that we spend all this time updating our photos with keywords, but afaik, there isn't a way to show them while viewing on a TV etc....through an AppleTV or other gadget.

I see that LR will show the data within the program itself, but not quite what we're looking for.
Cheers,
Keebler

When you are in the SlideShow option, on the left hand side there is 'Template Browser'.

One of the options in there is 'Exif Metadata', which displays the data at the edge of the slideshow. Before starting the slideshow, you can double click the data in the main screen and alter size. I haven't quite find how to select which data is shown and which is not yet...

Thanks! That sounds like it might be what he's after.

I don't have LR just yet. Still using Aperture, but someday I may end up switching.
Quick question: does LR interact with the AppleTV easily? ie. output slideshows to it? I haven't googled it yet - just wondering :)

I'm a recent convert to LR myself, so haven't tried it with Apple TV yet, but I did see my neighbour use LR on his ATV and it seemed to work fine. I think he just mirrored his screen....so was simple enough.
