Enough with the spoonfed stories and reposting what other outlets have said. Apple keeps us in the dark and all MacRumors has to report is, "The lights are off."

There must be some suggestions for a spinoff site: MacTruth? MacFacts? MacMole?

I’m sure if the MR staff contacted Apple directly that Apple would love to be completely transparent and tell them everything. They should totally do that!

I don't think information is being withheld. I wonder if more sources could be questioned though, like suppliers, distributors, advertisers, and manufacturers. I come here for rumors, not just verified news. I'd really like some insight into the future Mac timeline. All we have is the official Apple announcement about the Mac Pro.

Sigh Smh. That’s not how it works.

Actual knowledge of what Apple has planned can be obtained from the best source available... “Figment of your imagination”.

Unfortunately, much of the hoped for upcoming features can also be found in the adjacent department of “not gonna happen”.

Perhaps you're right, and there's just no new information (besides the Mac Pro announcement).
So, perhaps, as you have also said, it's time to announce that "The lights are off."

News, as of these past years, are mostly in the iPhone Arena, where it's all a battle between me-toos, and Apple taking measures that, while might be OK in five years, by trying to be ahead of times they make them lose customers and/or bad press (i.e. ditching the 3.5 mm plug). News tell us of Apple seeding this or that new upgrade to developers, minimal upgrades, some bug corrections in iOS (and, if we're lucky, in MacOS), something new about earphones, new ones by Beat, new developments for AirPods... But nothing really new in the Mac stage. It's no longer that old time where every other issue of MacUser or MacWorld would bring us exciting news which were significant. Those times are long, long past. As was the interface leading edge compared to other OSs.

Sad times now, in my opinion.
