I'm considering using my new Mini to drive two 42" HDTVs for a display in a mall... same signal would be sent to each TV, perhaps by using a "Y" adaptor?

Can the Mini do this? And if so, what's the best way to get the signal from the Mini to the two TV's? (They have HDMI inputs.)

How about mini-DVI to HDMI and mini displayport to HDMI? I dont know if you will get the same picture on both or get extended though.

That will probably work out well for u. Just get a DVI to HDMI cable and 2 HDMI cables out to the TV's.

    # Extended desktop and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports up to 1920 by 1200 pixels on a DVI or VGA display; up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on a dual-link DVI display using Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter (sold separately)
    # Mini-DVI port
    # Mini DisplayPort output

    Get these:

    Mini DVI to HDMI

    Minidisplay port to HDMI

    300D... thanks for the reply.

So, the Mini will drive two 42" TV's each at FULL 1080p, simultaneously, by using the two output ports at the same time?

I do have the two adapters (Mini DisplayPort to HDMI @ $9.75 and Mini DVI to HDMI @ $6.31 from Monoprice) on order, along with the powered splitter, which I ordered in case I needed it. From what you're saying, though, if the Mini will drive both TV's on it's own, I guess I won't be needing the powered splitter!

Yes, it should because Mini DVI can do up to 1920x1200, if I remember correctly. You just use HDMI instead of DVI or VGA. Many people here uses Mini with dual 24" displays with 1920x1200 res in both without problems. Size of the TV doesn't matter but pixels does. 24" has actually more pixels than your 42"

Hellhammer.. ok, cool. I knew the Mini could easily drive 1920x1200 (1080p) through either monitor output port, but wasn't sure it was able to do TWO 1920x1200 displays - at the same time.
