I doubt it, but I was wondering if I could just plug my phone line into my iBook and then use it as a DSL connection. I was recently having problems with my connection and Verizon had to send a technician over to tell me my modem is old which is why I'm not getting a steady connection. So now I must wait for them to send me a new modem and until then I have to deal with a crappy connection.

No. You need an actual DSL modem. RJ-11 (phone line) modems built into computers are only for dial-up. You might be able to buy a compatible modem at a local store though.
