    Hi,
First time poster in this forum. I know there is already a thread in here discussing whether the new macbook can handle HD video editing but I wanted to know about my specific application. Apple has finally won me over with the new macbook, so this will be my first apple product. I plan on using it to edit my HD videos from my Aiptek Action-HD GVS (http://www.aiptek.com/HDCamcorders/) The only thing I plan on changing is the hd to the 500gig. If I buy my mac with the standard 2gig of memory will I have any problems with my video editing, or will it be smooth sailing?

If you are doing video editing, you need as much RAM as you can afford.

Should be fine if the RAM is upped, but I think many people here would prefer to use something more powerful for HD editing.
