C cuestakid macrumors 68000 Original poster May 1, 2007 #1 so for some reason I am unable to connect to AIM on my MAC-i can do so on my dell laptop so something is blocking it-i got rid of the firewall that I had been using but they were working fine together before-can anyone give me some advice?

C cuestakid macrumors 68000 Original poster May 1, 2007 #3 mac is lan laptop is wifi I should also mention that my other accounts (yahoo, msn) do work-I am using AdiumX-I tried iChat but that failed as well

Click to expand... mac is directly connected to the router-it is the same router that the laptop connects to' EDIT-i cant even seem to find a working download for AIM anywhere- if this helps here is the message i get from adium "could not connect to authentication server" Socket is not connected
