so for some reason I am unable to connect to AIM on my MAC-i can do so on my dell laptop so something is blocking it-i got rid of the firewall that I had been using but they were working fine together before-can anyone give me some advice?

Are the two computers connected to the internet in the same way? How is the Mac connected to the internet now?

mac is lan laptop is wifi

I should also mention that my other accounts (yahoo, msn) do work-I am using AdiumX-I tried iChat but that failed as well

Is the Mac on a LAN connected to a router or to a computer using internet sharing? Is it the same router providing WiFi for the laptop or different?
