i am on an intel macbook, and am trying to install adobe flash play 9
but when i try, it comes up with an error saying "error creating file. 1008:,5.-5000 access denied error
i then click ok, then it comes up with "you do not have enough access privileges for this installation"
this doesnt make sense as i am admin and have all privileges...
wtf :confused::confused::confused::confused:

You might want to give repairing disk permissions a try. (Its in Disk Utility.) Normally I wouldn't recommend it as people tend to suggest it as a cure-all for software problems to be performed on a regular basis when it is really nothing of the sort, but it sounds like bad permissions are your problem.

saw this on this page

Mainly I just wanted to share with everyone what actually worked, since I couldn’t find the process described anywhere, here it is:

Download the Player installer to your computer
Double Click the downloaded file to extract the DMG file
Double Click the DMG file to mount the disk image
Open up a terminal window and execute the following commands:

cd /Volumes/Adobe Flash Player 9/Install Flash Player 9 UB/Contents/MacOS

sudo './Install Flash Player 9 UB'

Enter your administrative password when prompted and everything will go smoothly
the comments on that page added the need for quote marks.

do let us know if this worked!

try both, also try using single quote marks ' or double quote marks " before and after the sudo command... worth a shot!!

good luck
