Can not register new MacBook - Help

I don't know if it's me or if I have a defective MacBook air. Just got the MacBook and charged it and turned it on. First screen says to press return key to select English - then next screen says choose country but nothing happens after that. That screen will not respond to any input - return key, continue button, touch pad nothing!

Is it me or the computer - most appreciative of any help. Thanks, Steve

I'd swap it out if I were you, that's definitely not normal. Since it's brand new, they should just take that one back and give you a new one.

try to boot off the restore media (USB) again and erase the hdd. and then reload OS

Tap to click is not enabled by default. You must push the trackpad assembly down to produce the mechanical click to select the country to proceed.
