iPod touch Can not restore - error 1600

So my iPod currently has nothing on it, only the "connect to iTunes screen". Trying to restore it, either to beta 5 or just restore it to how it was, both bring up this error. I can't put it into DFU mode either. Solutions?

But that requires me to put it into DFU mode, which I can't as it has absolutely no OS on it :\

Check out this guide. (Yes, I know, it mentions errors you aren't receiving but it will work. It will work on any iOS device, even though the article title says iPhone.)
