Can not set default "group by" in finder still?

For 10 years I've tried to do this and still can not. I just want to set my default view to "group by" kind in finder......I can change other default view things but each time i open a new window "group by" is not on....anyone?

I want "use groups" to be on for all as my default

Yes, sadly, setting default view doesn't work for too many, and this goes on years after years...

Super annoying......I wonder if they know about this....or should be told.
