Can old iTunes Playlists be transferred to new RMBP?

I had one certain long playlist on my old laptop, and is on my iPhone currently (until I re sync it anyway). Is there a way to transfer the playlist somehow without having to start all over again and having to re populate it?

Yeah the easiest way to do this is a Time Machine backup. Just do a restore on the second machine of the iTunes library.
