Can one camera open Aperture, other iPhoto?

Is it possible to set up my new Mac so that when I plug in my Nikon D40x it opens Aperture, and when I plug in my compact camera it opens iPhoto?
(For the most part I will keep the libraries separate)

or would I have to manually have to change prefs each time? thanks

In your situation, the best thing to do is set Image Capture pref to ignore cameras, then manually launch the app you need. Bummer.
