Yeah, it's a nice feature. I just tested it with a YouTube video on my iPhone connecting to a pair of AirPods Max and a pair of AirPods Pro. Works great.

Note, if you do activate more than one set of AirPods on a device. After it is done, you need to “Forget” the pair in the bluetooth menu that don’t belong to you. Otherwise, you’re constantly linked to that pair.
