Can one play CD's and DVD's in the new OS? I hear that iTunes is being split up. I hope they do not take away features. I still need the ability to play audio CD's as I have one built into my Mac. As I have mentioned before I hardly ever listen to music as 95% of what I listen to are sermons and or teaching series. Just ordered another teaching series on audio CD this morning which is more helpful than the download/stream options on the website because I can listen to the messages in my car without dealing with the hassles of downloading every lesson to a MP3 flash drive.

I don't know for sure, but I would be surprised if you couldn't play both CDs and DVDs in the new Music app. My iMac does not have a built in optical drive but I do have two external drives that I use for playing CDs and DVDs. I too receive teaching series and sermons on CD and DVD. I especially enjoy those on DVD which includes video.

My older automobile has a CD player but the newer auto we just purchased does not. Which means I have to use Car Play to listen to sermons and teaching.

Which means they have to be streamed from a phone which is a problem when the temperature is hot outside and the phone powers off due to the heat. A problem...
