I don't know if this is a macOS beta problem. But since a while I can't launch the standard version of Firefox and the Developer Edition. They are just jumping in the Dock until I force quit them.

Except Nightly, what I am using since many months. The others were all reinstalled clean recently. The 115 ESR is working too, but I just deleted it because there is a new version now and it's losing support next month.

Dont launch

What do you use?

I it's Safari? I am trying to get friends with it again since years and am even using it daily for some things, like this website. Mostly the Technology Preview. Years ago I also had this black Webkit Browser installed. But I did not really understand what it was, because it changed the standard Safari's build number somehow, when both were open at the same time. I stopped using it, when there was no direct download of a compiled version any more.

I always wonder why TP is on the same version as the latest Safari in the latest macOS betas. Only build number differs and somehow it's even outdated and don't work anymore after a beta update. The only advantage I see is using two Safaris at the same time. Is there even any other difference?

Safari won't get me back until they support extensions in a normal way. So probably never.

It's the only browser where I can't get rid of those annoying cookie messages and also scripts don't work.

I have Orion too, but they want money for testing the latest BETA version or using their search engine for more than a few requests. I am not sure if it's really a good thing to replace Safari and how it is about security if you support extensions for three browser engines at the same time.

I have also Mullvad Browser and Mullvad Browser Nightly, LibreWolf, WaterFox and Pulse Browser Alpha. 😛 In addition Tor Browser, Tor Browser Nightly and Tor Browser Alpha, Sea Monkey and Pale Moon see a security risk in their own websites and are somehow strange.

I think one of the first 5 mentioned will get my main browser soon. It has to be one that supports container tabs.

Anyway, those are all based on Firefox and run without any problem by the way.

Only thing I don't like are Google and Microsoft and deleted every Chrome from standard to Canary, same for Edge. That's sad because my browser collection got so small again. :(

But I have Brave, Brave Beta, Brave Nightly, Opera Dev., Opera, Opera GX (Beta I think), Vivaldi, Vivaldi Snapshot, Ulaa, Carbon, Aloha, Iridium, Maxthon, Arc and a raw Chromium build.

Then there are also iCab, DuckDuck Go and Min, what seem to have an own engine and don't support extensions.

There were some others I deleted too.

But they all worked. It's only the standard Firefox and the Developer Edition that can't be launched.

If I forgot a good one to install, just tell me. ;)

And yes i know I am crazy, to collect browser like other people collect stamps. At least only versions and the AppStore is also left out for this.

Try to post it on bugzilla. I'm sure you're already there if you're running all these editions.

Should do that, thanks. I think I am even already registered there, but didn't use that account for 10 years or so. I often only use Nightly as main browser and it almost never crashed or did anything strange. Seems to be even more stable than other browsers in their "stable" versions. But I am not a power user.

By the way. I just recently found a nice app by coincidence to open links from any, that asks me what browser to use. I have it in Testflight. But seems to be completely free in the AppStore too. And I just found, there is also a non-AppStore version. But it doesn't have an updater integrated. :( Will try that anyway. Don't like AppStores.

I use Safari, Opera and Edge. I do understand love for Firefox, but this thing is generally in the past. These three browsers cover my needs. YMMV though

It's definitely not an issue on the OS side. I'm running the release version of Firefox as I type this post, and I have yet to experience the issue you described. I would recommend first trying to determine whether having all five versions installed is creating some sort of conflict on your system.
