    Hi all...

    Can Pages convert pdf's ?

What i am trying to do, (i should have done this properly initially), is i have a few scanned PDF files... Not really regular PDF, but rather scanned from physical magazines, each page of the mag scanned as jpg, and then i converted these jpg' to one pdf, for each mag...

Now, however, i see this was a bad idea... and probably the reason why spotlight cannot search within since their static images, not true PDF's

so my question, how do i go about taking these static-image based PDF's and convert them into regular PDF's u can search inside ?

Is there any app on the Mac that can do this, or would i need to use Acrobat ? (which is what i used initially to covert these jpg's to pdf.) ?

Acrobat IS an app on the Mac that can do this. Or you can use other OCR software which might have better performance, but if you have Acrobat already then it may be sufficient rather than buying more software.
