Can Parental Controls be enhanced / scripted

I have two kids and my wife that use the one Mac Mini. I have Parental controls on the kids side to limit the time per day and hours of login, but find that I could use a little more control or maybe some way to script it. It would be great if there was more than one time range per day and if the weekend could start on Friday instead of saturday (because school is out). Is there any way to tweak the parental control options using a script via the admin account? I would like to force them off at lets say 5pm, then allow them back on after 6:30 until 8pm.
