You are not. PS3 plays 3D blu-ray.

Even if they could, developers are unlikely to support that kind of resolution anytime soon. (Heck, they seldom supported true 1080p last gen, and that was something a decent number of people actually had)

Be funny if this is enabled via streaming. But then few connections would be able to stream it!
