Can Sierra OS support Fat32 SD cards?

I'm buying a dashcam and have read that the Mac is not compatible with the Fat32 format for higher capacity SD cards that are 64GB and up. Is this still true in the latest OS Sierra?

I know I haven't really looked at things, maybe it's different for sd cards, but fat32 is limited to 32gb cards, right?

However, SD cards created with the Mac disc utility using MS Dos Fat will work for both, so that's the workaround. I was wondering if Sierra eliminated the need to do this.

What about exFat? It should support filesystems larger than 32GB, no?

SDXC card (> 32 GB), comes formatted in exFat, and are supported in macOS since last version of Snow Leopard (10.6.8). I've no trouble to import pictures and movies from my 64 GB and 128 GB cards (both SDXC and microSDXC), used by my Hybrid and my GoPro

Not really a SD card issue at all, but a formatting issue. The article doesn't state what format "Some" larger cards are using so as to whether the work-around is still needed in Sierra? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ probably. macOS will read & write FAT32 (limited by design to 32GB) and exFAT. It will read (but not write) NTFS. There are 3rd party utilities (e.g. Paragon, Tuxera) to enable NTFS write, might also help with whatever format they're talking about.

Well, now i dont know. I recently formatted by Usb on windows at my work. And it cant be read by Sierra at my studio. its says, it was not readable by this OS. 32gb USB 3.0.
