I haven't been able to get my hands on a 4S to try it for myself yet, but I'm wondering if Siri is able to recognize Hawaiian words (such as asking for directions to 1600 Kapiʻolani Blvd., Honolulu, HI for instance.)

Interesting question. I tried (even though I don't think I know how to pronounce it) and she couldn't connect to the network. Although I don't think she could have told me anyway since I'm part of the continental U.S..

Great question! Looking forward to hearing the answer.

And you know what would be really cool? If Siri could understand — and even answer — in Pidgin!

It picked up me saying Kapiolani and Honolulu. Couldn't recognize Wailea.

Trying to think of more difficult Hawaiian places. Was going to try Haleiwa, but I think the server is bogged down again.

LOL. Then you'll have to get arrested and have Dog bail you out, just so he can translate what the hell your phone is saying.

I just tried Kalakaua, Ala Wai, Launiu, & Kuhio. The only one it didn't recognize was Ala Wai. I'm impressed!
