Family member has a Genius Bar appointment today, figured I would give her my laptop to return to save myself the trip.

I can't see why not, as long as they don't need to see the card that was used to buy the laptop. Why not call them just to be safe

I think his slogan was "Can't someone else do it?" in that episode.
