Previously I had a windows mobile phone. I would 'dock' it, and activesync would pick it up, in turn transferring my email and calendar to it. There was nothing wireless about this. If I wanted to update, I would have to physically dock the phone somewhere in the organisation.

Now, SJ seems to be pitching the iPhone as a push email device using activesync, but I'm a bit confused as to what needs doing on the exchange side of things, as activesync in my eyes, is a way of syncing stuff whilst connected by cable.

Sorry if it's a dumb question; I'm not very au fait with this kinda stuff!
 
Aaah - so exchange activesync is a different thing to activesync that you install on a windows PC. I understand now. Thanks!
