Can someone explain the diffferent capacities?

How do the different capacity options relate to storage.
By this I mean....
-does this apply to music storage as well as apps?
-can you quantify (loosely) how much info we are talking about?
-is there a microSD slot to add capacity?

Not really, the Apps all vary in size, Myst was over 1.5GB when it was first released others will be 1-2MB. It's just like apps on a computer, they all take up different amounts of space.

Are you talking about the sizes of apps? There is a large range, anywhere from 0.5 MB to over a GB. Go to iTunes and check our t some you're interested in. The size of each app is listed on the detail page.
