Hold your finger on an icon till it wobbles then tap the x. If there is no x it's either an embedded app that came with the device or it's installed through cydia.

Glad it's working. One thing I came across that was actually pretty handy is CyDelete. It add the X to Cydia-installed apps and uninstalls them just as if it were a normal app. It's pretty handy if you want to remove an app and not have to launch cydia and navigate through there.
