Can Someone Give Me an Update on 4S?

Strange question in a sub-forum which is all about hacking/jailbreaking iphone which has 33,471 threads and 309,498 postings.....

But i'm not talking about the older models. I can see reasons why you would jailbreak a 4 or a 3GS or a 3G or an original. I'm not seeing what there is to add on to a 4S.

Just stop... There are well over a few hundred tweaks that people use constantly while jail broken. My favorite is probably LockInfo. Apples notification center is a joke compared to this.

Also I love 5 icon dock, iblacklist, and many many more.

There's also countless threads talking about this. Read up to fight ignorance!

Okay I guess there are some good tweaks. I just don't see anything super amazing though (5 Icon dock? Is that really needed? and isn't LockInfo a paid app?)


Plus, it's the internet. I'm allowed to speak my thoughts.

Fakeclockup would be nice, quick reply for SMS, SBSettings, Folder enhancer, just to name a few tweaks that would really benefit a 4S.

Unlocking, better performance, better apps, better almost everything.

Most of the stuff apple implemented on the 4S is from the jailbreak scene, but it still lacks lots of features.

BiteSMS, ISX and Lockinfo are still far better than notification center and stock apps

Those are all paid, but there are so many free tweaks and apps.

Maybe try it 1 day...

I don't see what the difference between older devices and a 4S? The iPhone 4 and 3GS both run the same iOS as the 4S so why would you say you see reasons to jailbreak those but not the 4S?

I never use Siri these days. Only used it when I first got it. Unless you want to use it while driving or something like that then in my opinion it's not that useful. Maybe that's cause it's in beta. I guess we'll have to wait and see. On the other hand, there are dozens of great apps and tweaks and themes on cydia and a lot are useful not just eye candy and make your life a lot easier.

5 icon doc is very useful and looks nice

SBS integrates great with N.Center

FolderEnchancer rocks and get's rid of Apples dumb setup/restrictions, BiteSMS, Barrel gives boring UI a fresh look, Gridlock is great o be able to place apps pretty much anywhere you want like my 1st pic, QuickScroll2, iFile, Widget Task to enabling tasking from the N.Center vs double tapping home button, call bar to not interrupt what your doing when calls come in... there's plenty of "useful" tweaks and not just themes that make a big difference in using the iPhone.
