My issue is when i plug usb>computer>activate absinthe> the jailbreak button does not highlight...
I am running a 4s with 5.0.1....

VPN is in your settings

in settings it says vpn is not connected, wifi off

try a respring real quick see what happens, my jailbreak was a little screwy too, but once I respringed my device Cydia was there

Edit: oops just read that you cant even get the icon on your device...I have nothing sorry :(

tried another cord and usb port on macbook...no results although it shows itself on itunes..

turning phone off and on..

If the Jailbreak button isn't highlighting in Absinthe, try a different computer. I had the exact same problem and it didn't get solved until I tried a different computer. I started a thread on this issue a few weeks ago when the JB was first released.

Yes itunes sees the phone. I quit it as soon as it starts up....

Not sure about admin rights..Whats that?

check to make sure account you login with to your mac is an admin account.
system preferences -> users and groups -> current user should say if its admin or not.

you might want to create another user account with administrator privileges, login to it and try jailbreak from it.

it says my login is admin....

will try and make new account..

Thanks for your responses!

I know i can get around this...I've gotten through worse....

Just created a new admin account...

downloaded every version of greenP for the mac available...

Still nothing...

cant get the GP to recognize iphone......

never could be a dumb question...Prob just a dumb user (me)
