Can someone please help me figure out AT&T vs T-Mobile?

I never understand peoples thinking when they make this statement. How will you be using more data?

If you and i are sitting right next to each other, you with a 4S and I with an iphone 5. We both load the macrumors homepage, i will load it up faster. But not use any more data than you did loading it slower.

Now if having faster internet gets you in the mood for browsing more than you usually do on a 3G connection, thats different.

When i got my iphone 5 i don't use any more data than i did on my 4S. everything is just faster :)

Same here:D
Even though on unlimited LTE with my i5 still using up about 200-300mb per month.
People say if you're on a fast connection the phone will just rack up GB's of data fast.
Its not the phone or the connection, its the user that's using up all the additional data.
Some people blame it on the fast connection or even claim its the carrier somehow cheating them and say they didnt use up all that data:D

Tethering.

It's extremely easy for tethered devices, who merely see a wifi link, to suck a lot of data before you realize how much they're taking in.

I completely agree that, were I to use it solely as a phone, my data usage would be essentially identical (I'd likely use more on LTE simply because it's faster and hence more fun, but not a lot more).
