I am using Safari on El Capitan. For whatever reason no matter what website I go to if I try and log in to that website the field where you type your log in name has this suggestion pop up that is the log name split in half with a space. if you don't cancel this out it auto puts in the name with a space and screws up my log in. Ive tried turning off complete forms as well as deleting suggestions. No matter what log in name I'm using for any website form i fill out its splitting the name in two with a space. Cancelling it out every time is the only way to stop it otherwise it will autocomplete the wrong log in with a space between it.

I am totally stumped how to stop this from happening because it effects every one of my different log ins and every form from every site i got to on safari. Why does it always insist of putting a space on my log ins.

Presumably because it is a spelling error. Several options: (a) go to Safari > Edit > Spelling and Grammar and turn off ‘Correct spelling automatically’; (b) add your username to your dictionary by selecting the word, right-click in it and choose ‘Learn Spelling’.

You figured it out thank you. many of my log ins are words like wetcanvas. so its auto splits it to wet canvas because it can be two words. I turned it off by going to apple->systempreferences->keyboard->text-> uncheck correct spelling automatically.

This turned it off for safari also.

Very weird i've been using my mac for over 10 years and i've never had that issue before. Ive had the underline suggestion before that its wrong but never had it correct me automatically. I usually use chrome and this never happened with chrome. just started using safari because it seems a bit faster.

Thanks though this was driving me nuts.
