What are they?

They are the variation of emoticons that I use. I just hate the basic just doesn't show that much emotion for me.

My own personal one for drunken me is the artic lion ><!!!! (means grrrr!) (long story about me being a well long story)

means basically (weird) variation
O_O means (shock)
T_T means (sad) another variation i rarely use is V_V
-_- means (bleh, meh, dammit)
@_@ means (confuzzled)
^_^ means (happiness, also when i am being an ass)

Those are the only ones i use


General Usage: From what i have noticed either younger people use them (12-15) due to well them being a bit childish.

Also fans of Anime (japanese animation) use them (which is why i use them i believe) due to the fact that most Anime have characters that have big eyes (it is a trait of anime huge eyes [can tell from wallpapers on my site namely visible on this image http://www.animetunes.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=4 ] So my emoticons seem to stem from anime characters emotions in which their eyes are large (in some instances Osaka in Azumanga daioh has her eyes go like >_< when she gets hit in the head) So that is my general history
