got my phone yesterday and has been working fine. Woke up this morning and noticed that the top left of the screen has some sort of water spill effect? Only happens when I slide to unlock and only with this wallpaper.

And it only happens when I have the brightness really low

Anyone has any ideas?

Last request if someone can please test this out for me.i can get a replacement but I’m not sure if it’s a hardware or software issue. If it’s a software issue, i would rather not go through exchanging as it’s perfect in every other way.

Simple steps:
  • Choose the live wallpaper shown above
  • Dim your brightness all the way down
  • Lock the phone, go to a dark room or dark place
  • Hide the Face ID sensors and try to unlock by swiping. Goal is to go to the passcode enter screen to unlock
  • Do you see the weird effect at the top right of the phone?

If someone can please try and let me know. It will save me a trip to Apple store and going through the hassle to exchange.

Thank you in advance!
