Hi,

In IOS 14.6 I suddenly can´t arrange apps in my app groups any longer?

I.e. I installed a phone app here at work, but this app always are sorted in front of the normal phone app in that group.

Also I can´t rearrange any of my messaging apps in that group ++

#Bug ??

What do you mean with groups? Folders? Or App Library? While you cannot sort apps in the App Library, you can of course sort and arrange Apps in folders.

Do you have a screenshot of your problem?

It sounds like OP is unable to rearrange apps within a folder, but that's still working in 14.6 as expected. @lifeform, would you post a video of what you're trying to do so we can see what's not working?

(With sound from the New Zealand documentary also.. ;-) Wasnt aware)

The icons just snap back into the order they were before I dragged them
Thanks for the good video showing what you're trying to do. Couple of suggestions:

1. Check whether Settings > Accessibility > Zoom is enabled. If so, turn it off.

2. What happens if you drag one of the apps from the folder back to the Home screen, and then re-add it to that folder? What happens if you create a new folder and add the apps in the order you want them to appear?

3. If you haven't tried Reset All Settings, that's an option. No guarantee it will change it, but it might.

Thanks!

1: Its Off
2: If I drag outside the icon just pops back into the group, but I can rearrange app icons in a normal way outside the grouPs.

3: Reset all settings? You mean resetting the whole phone?

Considering to just upgrade to the IOS 15 Beta instead, forgetting about this error :)

I mean Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Not erase and restore, although maybe consider doing a full erase and restore. It takes time, yes, but maybe that will resolve it. Whatever you decide, let us know if you get it working.

I.e. I installed a phone app here at work, but this app always are sorted in front of the normal phone app in that group.

Possibly the phone is under a device management scheme at work and or app installed a profile that is blocking the function? Not sure if MDM allows preventing re-ordering of apps, so, a really wild guess.

I think I ran into a similar bug way, way back. Not experiencing this myself on 14.6 though.

Try moving the folder out of the dock and onto one of your home screens and the. see if you can rearrange them. If it works, then put the folder back into your dock.

Hmmm… Can it be that they are alphabetically sorted now??

Any setting for this anywhere ?

In your video, the apps in folders aren't sorted alphabetically. Because this is an issue that can't be reproduced by others here (at least so far), I suggest you consider backing up your phone and doing a full erase and restore.
