Can the current 15" MacBook Pro cool properly when closed?

When you use one of these type of stands that keeps your MacBook Pro closed when connected ti an external monitor can it cool as effectively as when the lid is open?

Yes, it’s been built to accommodate for that usage.

You might hear the fans a bit more than usual, that’s all. Cooling is less efficient when closed.
